Setting the Device Manager properties

Device Manager communicates with the BayStack 470 10/100/1000 Switch using Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). The software is shipped with default values set for important communication parameters, such as the polling interval, timeout, and retry count. You may want to set the parameters before you open a device to manage.

To set the Device Manager properties:

1. Choose Device > Properties.

The Properties dialog box opens.

2. Type information and select check boxes.
3. Click OK.
