Enabling OSPF on a circuitless IP interface

To enable OSPF on an interface:

1. Select the interface (CLIP1, CLIP2, etc.) in the Circuitless IP tab dialog box.
   
   

   Note: You must enable OSPF for Circuitless IP to function.

   
   
2. Click OSPF.

The OspfCircuitless dialog box opens.

3. Click the Enable checkbox.
4. Click Apply to enable OSPF.
   
   

   Note: When OSPF is enabled, the Circuitless IP interface is configured to OSPF backbone AreaId (0.0.0.0) until you change the configuration.

   
   
5. To change the OSPF backbone AreaId:
1. Choose IP Routing > OSPF from the Device Manager menu bar.
2. Click the Interfaces tab.
3. Click in the current AreaID field to make the change to the OSPF backbone area.
6. Close the dialog box.
