Creating static ARP entries

To create static ARP entries:

1. From the Device Manager menu bar, choose IP Routing > IP.

The IP dialog box opens with the Globals tab displayed.

2. Click the ARP tab.

The IP dialog box--ARP tab opens.

3. In the IP dialog box--ARP tab, click Insert.

The IP, Insert ARP dialog box opens.

4. In the Interface field, click the ellipses button to select the brouter interface from the ipNetToMediaIfIndex dialog box.
5. In the ipNetToMediaIfIndex dialog box, click OK.

This action specifies the interface connected to the station for which a static ARP entry is being defined.

6. In the Port in VLAN field, use the pull-down menu to associate the brouter port with a VLAN, from the VLAN dialog box.
7. Click OK.

This action specifies the VLAN interface connected to the station for which a static ARP entry is being defined.

8. In the IpAddress box, type the IP address.
9. In the MacAddress box, type the MAC address.
10. Click Insert.
