General tab fields   

The following table lists and describes the fields on the General tab.  


Field Description
Index
The SAM`s index number.
IP
The SAM's IP address.
Type
The type of SAM. Currently all SAMs are Masters.
OperStatus
The SAM's operational status
  • Up -- The correct software version is installed and the SAM is enabled.
  • Down -- The SAM is disabled.
  • swMismatch -- The SAM is enabled, but the software version does not match the rest of the cluster.
  • appError -- The SAM is enabled, but the application is not functioning and the SAM does not handle traffic correctly.
Slot Number
The slot number occupied by the SAM.


Note Note: This version of Device Manager supports viewing only of the SAM. You cannot configure the SAM from Device Manager, but you can view SAM information and statistics.
