The following figure shows multiple spanning trees enabled on the same four-WSM topology found in previous example.
Multiple Spanning Trees can be enabled on tagged or untagged ports. Three instances of Spanning tree are configured in the example above. The multiple spanning trees on the four WSMs are configured as shown in the following table

1 On WSM A, VLAN 2 is on STG 2 and on WSM B, VLAN 2 is on STG 1. Spanning tree is switch-centric--each spanning tree decision is based on the configuration of the specific switch.
The WSMs use BPDU to determine root cost.
