Configuring cookie-based session persistence

To configure the WSM for cookie-based persistence:

  1. Define an IP interface on the WSM. See Defining an IP interface on the WSM.
  2. Configure each real server with its IP address, name, weight, and so forth. See Configuring each real server.
  3. Assign servers to real server groups. See Configuring a real server group.
  4. Define the virtual servers. See Configuring a virtual server.
  5. Define the virtual server services. See Configuring services for a virtual server.
  6. Enable client or server processing on the ports. See Configuring ports for server load balancing.
  7. Do one of the following:
  8. Enable server load balancing for the WSM. See Enabling or disabling server load balancing.
  9. Cookie-based session persistence is configured for the WSM.
