Mode

Configures sparse mode on the routing switch.

Enable
|
Enables (true) or disables (false) PIM. You must globally enable PIM before you can enable port or VLAN PIM.

Mbr (Multicast Border Router)
|
Configures the router as a PIM multicast border router (PMBR). PMBRs connect PIM domains to other multicast routing domains and the rest of the Internet. In particular, the MBR on the Passport 8600 allows the connection of a PIM-SM domain to a DVMRP domain.

JoinPruneInterval
|
Specifies how long to wait (in seconds) before the PIM router sends out the next join/prune message to its upstream neighbors. The default is 60 seconds.

RegisterSuppTimer
|
Specifies how long (in seconds) the DR suppresses sending registers to the RP. The timer starts when the DR receives a Register Stop message from the RP. The range is from 5 to 65535 with no default.
