Trap Receivers tab

The Trap Receivers tab lists the machines that will receive SNMP traps from the Passport 8000 Series switch chassis.

When Device Manager opens a device, it automatically adds the machine on which it is running to the Trap Receivers list only if the Register for Traps item on the Properties dialog box is checked.

Note: If the Trap Receivers tab takes a long time to open, it may be that the IP address of a trap receiver cannot be resolved to a DNS name. By default, Device Manager attempts to resolve IP addresses to DNS names.

To open the Trap Receivers tab:

On the Device Manager menu bar, choose Edit > Chassis > Trap Receivers.
