Using virtual router interfaces

Once IPX VLAN has been enabled, you must define a VLAN.

To define the VLAN:

  1. From the Device Manager menu bar, choose VLAN > VLANs.
  2. Select a VLAN.
  3. Click IPX.
  4. The IPX, VLAN dialog box opens.

  5. Click Insert.
  6. The Insert IPX dialog box opens.
  7. In the NetAddr field, type the IPX circuit network number.
  8. In the Encap check box, select one of the following:
  9. ­ If the IPX circuit is port based, select none.
    ­ If the IPX circuit is protocol based, select either ethernetii, snap, llc, or raw.
  10. Click Insert.
  11. The IPX, VLAN dialog box opens with the message "Inserted" displayed.
