Conf tab

The conf tab allows you to enable or disable directed broadcast traffic forwarding on an IP-interface basis.

To enable IP-directed broadcast suppression for a VLAN:

1. From the Device Manager menu bar, choose VLAN > VLANs.

The VLAN dialog box opens with the Basic tab displayed.

2. From the table, select a VLAN.
3. Click IP.

The IP, VLAN dialog box opens with the IP Address tab displayed.

4. Click the Conf tab.

The Conf tab opens.

5. Do one of the following:
• De-select the DirectBroadcastEnable check box to suppress the IP-directed broadcasts.
• Select the DirectBroadcastEnable check box to opt not to suppress the IP-directed broadcasts.
  
  

  Note: Multiple VLANs/IRPs in the same subnet but in different switches must be configured simultaneously.
