Enabling OSPF on a device

You must configure the device globally for OSPF routing before you configure interfaces for OSPF routing. Use the General tab in the OSPF dialog box to set parameter values that apply globally to the router's OSPF configuration.

To enable OSPF on a switch:

  1. From the Device Manager window menu bar, choose IP Routing > OSPF.
    2. The OSPF dialog box opens with the General tab displayed.
  2. In the AdminStat option box, click enabled to activate OSPF.
  3. Click Apply.

To assign IP addresses, use the Port, IP Address dialog box. For more information, refer to "IP Address tab".
