Creating a graph

When you have selected an object and a statistics window, use the buttons at the bottom of the graph window to create a graph of the data. With Device Manager, you can create bar, pie, and line graphs.

To create a graph:

1. On the device view, select the object or objects you want to graph (see "Selecting objects").
2. Open the graph window using one of the following methods:
• On the toolbar, click Graph Component.



• From the shortcut menu for the object, choose Graph.
• From the Device Manager menu bar, choose Graph > Chassis or Graph > Port.

A dialog box opens with the System tab displayed if you are graphing a Chassis, and the Interface tab is displayed if you are graphing a Port. The other tabs display different groups of statistics for the selected object.

3. From the graphPort or graphChassis dialog box, select a tab for the group of statistics you want to view.
4. On the displayed data table, select the cells you want to graph (they must be in the same row or column).
5. Click the icon at the bottom of the dialog box for the graph type you want to illustrate.

The statistics are displayed in graph form.

6. To print a copy of a bar graph or line graph, click the print icon.
