Creating a graph
When you have selected an object and a statistics window, use the buttons at the bottom of the graph window to create a graph of the data. With Device Manager, you can create bar, pie, and line graphs.
To create a graph:
- On the device view, select the object or objects you want to graph (see "Selecting objects").
- Open the graph window using one of the following methods:
- On the toolbar, click Graph Component.
- From the shortcut menu for the object, choose Graph.
- From the Device Manager menu bar, choose Graph > Chassis or Graph > Port.
| A dialog box opens with the System tab displayed if you are graphing a Chassis, and the Interface tab is displayed if you are graphing a Port. The other tabs display different groups of statistics for the selected object. |
- From the graphPort or graphChassis dialog box, select a tab for the group of statistics you want to view.
- On the displayed data table, select the cells you want to graph (they must be in the same row or column).
- Click the icon at the bottom of the dialog box for the graph type you want to illustrate.
| The statistics are displayed in graph form. |
- To print a copy of a bar graph or line graph, click the print icon.
