Setting the sVLAN Ethertype and switch level

To configure the sVLAN Ethertype and switch level for the switch:

  1. From the Device Manager menu bar choose VLAN > sVLAN.
  2. The sVLAN dialog box opens to the Ether Type tab, displaying the ether types used for sVLAN tagging.
  3. Do one of the following:
  4. Click the Level tab.
  5. The Level tab opens.
  6. In the Active Level field, enter an active switch level (1 - 7).

    Note Note: The switch level default of 0 must be changed to a value of 1 through 7 before configuring UNI or NNI ports.

  7. Click Apply.
  8. The Ethertype and active switch level associated are configured.
