Configuring an IP address for a VLAN

To configure an IP address for a VLAN:

  1. From the Device Manager menu bar, choose VLAN > VLANs.
    2. The VLAN dialog box opens to the Basic tab.
  2. In the Basic tab, select the VLAN for which you are configuring an IP address.
    3. The VLAN is highlighted.
  3. Click IP.
    4. The IP, VLAN dialog box opens for the VLAN.
  4. Click Insert.
    5. The Insert IP Address dialog box opens.
  5. Enter an IP address and NetMask for routing.
  6. Click Insert > Close.
    7. The Insert IP dialog box closes and the IP address and Net Mask appear in the IP, VLAN dialog box.
  7. In the IP, VLAN dialog box and the VLAN dialog box, click Close.
    8. The IP subnet-based VLAN is configured.
