Configuring MPLS on an interface

Note Note: Before you can change the parameters for a specific interface, you must disable that interface.

To configure MPLS on an interface, use the following steps:

  1. From the Device Manager menu bar, choose IP Routing > MPLS > Config.
  2. The MPLS dialog box opens with the Globals tab displayed.
  3. Click the Interfaces tab.
  4. The Interfaces tab opens and displays any previously configured MPLS interfaces.
  5. Modify an existing configuration by double clicking any field and selecting an alternative value from the drop-down menu.
  6. Click Insert to configure a new MPLS interface.
  7. The MPLS, Insert Interfaces dialog box opens.
  8. In the Lay3Addr field, enter the IP address for this interface.
  9. In the Lay3Mask field, enter the mask for this interface.
  10. Click PenultimatePopRequest if you want to disable this feature.
  11. Select the label protocol: LDP, RSVP or both. The default is LDP.
  12. Click Insert.
  13. Click Apply.
