Associating a UNI port with a transparent domain

Note: You cannot enable more than 12 mapped service type UNI ports on a single mapped TD. This is important when you configure the OM 1450 ESM module, which has 14 UNI ports; however, you can enable all 14 UNI ports if you have more than 1 mapped TD.
You can enable up to 14 transparent service type ports on a single transparent TD.

To associate a UNI port with a transparent domain:

  1. In Device Manager, choose Application > OEL2.
  2. The OEL2 dialog box opens with the Transparent Domain tab displayed.
  3. Click the LAN Services tab to bring it to the front.
  4. Click Insert.
  5. The OEL2, Insert LAN Services dialog box opens.
  6. In the Port box, enter the number of the port you want to associate with the transparent domain.
  7. In the FramesTag box enter the FramesTag value for the domain.
  8. In the TDIndex box, enter the transparent domain identifier of the transparent domain that you want to associate the port with.
  9. Click Insert.
