Viewing the forwarding database

The Forwarding tab shows the forwarding database for the VLAN and contains information about unicast entries for which the bridge has forwarding and/or filtering information.This information is used by the transparent bridging function to determine how to forward a received frame.

To access the Forwarding tab:

  1. From the Device Manager menu bar, choose VLAN > VLANs.
    2. The VLAN dialog box opens with the Basic tab displayed.
  2. In the VLAN dialog box, select a VLAN and click Bridge.
    3. The Bridge, VLAN dialog box opens with the Transparent tab displayed.
  3. Click Forwarding.
    4. The Forwarding tab opens.


    Note Note: When viewing the Forwarding tab, be aware that an invalid port number may be displayed. For more information, see "Invalid port displayed in forwarding database" on page.
