Configuring SSL session ID-based persistence

To configure SSL session ID-based persistence for a real server:

  1. Define each real server and assign an IP address to each real server in the server pool. See Configuring each real server.
  2. Define a real server group and set up health checks for the group. See Configuring a real server group, and Configuring a health check for a real server group.
  3. Define virtual servers. See Configuring a virtual server.
  4. Define the server service on the virtual port for HTTPS (for example, port 443) and assign a real server group to service it. See Configuring services for a virtual server.
  5. Enable SLB on the WSM. See Enabling or disabling server load balancing.
  6. Enable client processing on the port connected to the client. See Configuring ports for server load balancing.
  7. If a proxy IP address is not configured on the client port, enable DAM for real servers. See Configuring direct access mode.
  8. SSL session ID-based persistence is configured for the real server.
