Configuring global default metric speed

To change the default metric speed on specific port types:

1. Choose IP Routing > OSPF > General.
2. The OSPF dialog box opens with the General tab displayed.
3. Change the metric value in one or all of the following fields:
• 10MbpsPortDefaultMetric (default = 100)
• 100MbpsPortDefaultMetric (default = 10)
• 1000MbpsPortDefaultMetric (default = 1)
• 10000MbpsPortDefaultMetric (default = 1)
4. Click Apply.

The default port metric speed will be changed on all port types for which you have specified a new metric speed.
