Using port lock
The port lock feature allows you to administratively lock one or more ports to prevent other users from changing port parameters or modifying port action. A locked port cannot be modified in any way until the port is first unlocked.
To set port locking and unlocking:
- From the menu bar, choose Edit > Security.

- Click the Port Lock tab.
- Click the button to the right of the Locked Ports field.
- The rcPortLockLockedPorts dialog box opens.To select the ports you want to lock, do one of the following:
- Click individual ports.
- Click a slot button to select all ports on a module.
- Click All to select all ports in the switch.
- Click OK.
| The selected port or ports appear in the LockedPorts field in the Port Lock tab. |
- In the Port Lock tab, click Enable to lock the selected port(s).
