Configuring IP/IPX over single PVC
This section describes how to use Device Manager to configure the following IP/IPX over single PVC options:
Prerequisites
Before you can configure an IP/IPX VLAN, you must:
- Configure a VLAN with IP and IPX configured. The IPX encapsulations should match the ATM 1483 ELAN encapsulation.
- Configure the ATM port as a member of that VLAN.
- Configure the ATM PVC.
|
Note:
Choose an IP ELAN over a muxIpIpx ELAN for IP protocol only, since IP ELAN offers faster throughput. Likewise, choose an IPX ELAN over a muxIpIpx ELAN for IPX protocol only. Make sure that the IPX encapsulations match the ATM 1483 ELAN encapsulation.
