Upgrading the OM 1200 ESM module software

You can use Device Manager to upgrade the software running on the OM 1200 ESM module. You upgrade the software by copying a new software image onto the load server for the OM 1200 ESM module, and then changing the information on the FileSystem dialog box to load the new image file.

To upgrade the software:

1. Copy the new OM 1200 ESM module image file to the load server you are using for the OM 1200 ESM module.

Note the exact path and filename for the new image file.

2. In Device Manager, choose Edit > FileSystem.

The File System dialog box opens as shown in the following example.

3. In the ImageFileName box, type the path and filename for the new image file.
4. In the Action area, click the radio button for dnldImg.
5. Click Apply.

Device Manager updates the OM 1200 ESM module with the new image file path and filename, and resets the module. When the module restarts, it loads the new image file.
