Selecting Device Manager Objects

A device object is defined as a chassis, slot, port, fan, or power supply.

To select the whole chassis:

• Click the chassis or in the chassis border.
  
  Use the Device Manager menu bar commands to perform management commands that apply to the whole chassis.

To select a single object:

• Left-click the object.
  
  The object is selected and the edge of the object is outlined in yellow.

To select single or multiple objects:

1. From the Device Manager menu bar, choose Edit > Select.
   
   A device object pull-down menu opens.

2. From the pull-down menu, choose an object.

When you select an object it is outlined in yellow to indicate that it is selected. You can then choose a command from the Device Manager menu bar to perform on the object.
