Enable DVMRP on a VLAN

To enable DVMRP on a VLAN:

  1. From the Device Manager, choose VLAN > VLANs.
    2. The VLANs dialog box opens with the Basic tab displayed.

  2. Click IP.
    3. The IP, VLAN dialog box opens (Figure 25).

  3. From the the DVMRP tab, click the enable check box to select DVMRP on the port, or click to clear the check box.

You can also enter a metric (cost) in maximum number of hops for DVMRP; the range is 1 to 31. A default value of 1 means local delivery only. You can use the metric value to control the scope of the DVMRP routes.
