Trap Receivers tab

The Trap Receivers tab in the Chassis dialog box lists the machines that receive SNMP traps from the Passport chassis. When Device Manager opens a device, it automatically adds the machine on which it is running to the Trap Receivers list.

Note: If the Trap Receivers window takes a long time to open, the IP address of a trap receiver may not be able to resolve to a DNS name. By default, Device Manager attempts to resolve IP addresses to DNS names. If no Domain Name Server (DNS) is available, set Device > Properties > Display Hostnames as to IP addresses to avoid long delays caused by the failed DNS resolution attempts.

To download and save a configuration file:

1. From the Device Manager menu bar, choose Edit > Chassis.

The Chassis dialog box opens with the System tab displayed.

2. Click the Trap Receivers tab.

The Trap Receivers tab opens.
