Configuring SONET-specific traps

The Passport 8600 chassis with a functioning Passport 8683POSE Module automatically receives SONET-specific traps.

To configure the device for SONET-specific traps:

  1. In Device Manager, select the chassis.
    2. The frame of the chassis is highlighted.
  2. Choose Edit > Chassis.
    3. The Chassis dialog box opens with the System tab displayed.
  3. Click the Trap Receivers tab.
    4. The Trap Receivers tab opens.
