Configuring an OSPF announce policy

To create or edit an OSPF announces policy:

  1. From the Device Manager menu bar, choose IP Routing > Policy > OSPF Announces.
  2. The Policy dialog box opens with the OSPF Announces tab displayed.
  3. Click Insert.
  4. The Policy, Insert OSPF Announces dialog box opens.
  5. Click Insert.

The table below describes the items in the Policy, Insert OSPF Announces dialog box.


Item Description
Id
OSPF announce policy ID (2000 to 3000).
Name
The character string naming the announce policy.
Enable
Set true to enable or false to disable the OSPF announce policy.
ExactNetListId
The exact network list ID (0 to 1000). For exact lists, the route and mask must both match. Empty means accept all.
RangeNetListId
The network range list ID (0 to 1000).
RipGatewayListId
The RIP gateway address list ID (0 to 1000). Progagates only routes learned from a specific RIP gateway.
RipInterfaceListId
The RIP interface address list ID (0 to 1000). Progagates only routes learned from specific RIP interfaces.
Precedence
If multiple policies match, the higher precedence is used (0 to 65535).
RouteSource
Set to direct, static, RIP, or to any indicated accepted sources from which a route can be learned.
AdvertiseNetListId
The advertise network list ID (0 to 1000).
Action
Announce or ignore. The action to take following a policy match.
ExtMetricType
The external metric type: OSPF Type1 or OSPF Type 2.
ExtMetric
The external metric or cost (0 to 65535).
