Viewing multicast route information

To view multicast route information:


From the Device Manager menu bar, choose IP Routing > Multicast.


The Multicast dialog box opens with the Routes tab displayed.

The table below describes the Routes tab fields.


Field Description
Group
The IP multicast group address for which this entry contains multicast routing information.
Source
The network address which, when combined with the corresponding route SourceMask value, identifies the sources for which this entry contains multicast routing information.
SourceMask
The network mask which, when combined with the corresponding route Source value, identifies the sources for which this entry contains multicast routing information.
UpstreamNeighbor
The address of the upstream neighbor (e.g., RPF neighbor) from which IP datagrams from these sources to this multicast address are received or 0.0.0.0 if the network is local.
Interface
The DVMRP interface, slot/port number, or VLAN ID on which IP datagrams sent by these sources to this multicast address are received.
ExpiryTime
The amount of time remaining before this entry will be aged out. The value 0 indicates that the entry is not subject to aging.
Protocol
The routing protocol through which this route was learned. Currently only DVMRP is supported.
