Understanding Passport 1000 Series switch VLANs

A VLAN is a collection of ports on one or more switches that define a broadcast domain. Passport 1000 Series switches support four types of VLANs:

• Port-based VLANs
• Source IP subnet-based VLANs
• Protocol-based VLANs
• Source MAC address-based VLANs
