Modifying and managing existing VLANs
The main dialog box for managing VLANs in Device Manager is the Edit VLAN dialog box accessed by choosing VLAN > VLANs from the main menu. The tabs in this dialog box are Basic, Advanced, and Snoop.
|
Note:
After a VLAN is created, you cannot change the type of VLAN. You must delete the VLAN and create a new VLAN of the chosen type.
|
To edit the ports in a VLAN:
- From the Device Manager menu bar, choose VLAN > VLANs.
| The VLAN dialog box opens with the Basic tab displayed. |
- Double-click the PortMembers, StaticMembers, or NotAllowToJoin fields in the VLAN table.
| The respective dialog box opens. |
- In the dialog box, select available ports for the VLAN. Ports that are already part of the VLAN appear as depressed buttons.
Any changes made to the ports take effect immediately.
