Enabling statistics (nondefault)

The default owner of the RMON statistics port is the host name on which the Device Manager software is running.

To select another owner:

  1. From the Device Manager menu bar, choose Rmon > Control.
    2. The RmonControl dialog box opens with the History tab displayed.
  2. Click the Ether Stats tab.
    3. The Ether Stats tab opens.
  3. Click Insert.
    4. The Rmon Control, Insert Ether Stats dialog box opens.

dialog box.


Field Description
Index
A unique value assigned to each interface.
Port
Port from which statistics are gathered.
Owner
Enter a unique name or, as a default, the host name on which the Device Manager software is running.

  1. In the Owner field, type the owner name.
  2. Click Insert.
