Defining an isolated routing port IP address

To define an IP Address for an isolated routing port:

  1. On the device view, select a port or multiple ports.
  2. From the Device Manager window menu bar, choose Edit > Port.
  3. The Port dialog box opens with the Interface tab displayed.
  4. Click the IP Address tab.
  5. The IP Address tab opens.
  6. In the IP Address tab, click Insert.
  7. The Insert IP Address dialog box opens.

The table below describes the Insert IP Address dialog box items.


Item Description
IpAddress
The IP address to which this entry's information pertains.
NetMask
The subnet mask associated with the IP address of this entry. The value of the mask is an IP address with all the network bits set to 1 and all the host bits set to 0.
BcastAddrFormat
The IP broadcast address format used on this interface.
ReasmMaxSize
The size of the largest IP datagram that this entity can reassemble from incoming IP fragmented datagrams received on this interface.

  1. In the IpAddress field, type the IP address.
  2. In the NetMask field, type the mask.
  3. Click Insert.

    Note Note: You cannot edit the IP address, and you can assign only one IP address to any router interface (physical or virtual). Attempting to assign a second IP address returns an invalid IP address error.
