By flow

Place a particular stream of traffic in the HighPriority queue by identifying it at the IP layer or at the TCP/UDP layer, it will be placed in the HighPriority queue. A unique traffic flow is identified by its source IP, destination IP, source port, destination port, and protocol.

To identify a flow for prioritization:

  1. From the Device Manager window menu bar, choose IP Routing > IP.
  2. The IP dialog box opens with the Globals tab displayed.
  3. Click the Flows tab.
  4. The Flows tab opens.
  5. Click Insert.
  6. The IP, Insert Flows dialog box opens.

The table below describes the IP, Insert Flows dialog box and the Flows tab items.


Item Description
SrcIpAddress
The source IP address of an IP packet.
SrcIpPort
The source port of an IP packet. The default value is zero, and a zero value in this field is used as a wildcard value.
DstIpAddress
The destination IP address of an IP packet.
DstIpPort
The destination port of an IP packet. The default value is zero, and a zero value in this field is used as a wildcard value.
Protocol
The protocol of the traffic flow. Select from the following protocols:
  • ip (default value)
  • tcp
  • udp

  1. Enter the IP source and destination addresses.
  2. Enter the port information, and select a protocol. If you select IP as the protocol, port information is not required.
  3. Click Insert.
