Setting CLI passwords

If you have Read/Write/All access authority, you can use Device Manager to change the passwords for access to the CLI through a console or Telnet session. If you do not have Read/Write/All privileges, the user name and password fields are blank.

To specify user names and passwords for access to the CLI:

  1. From the Device Manager menu bar, choose Edit > Security.
  2. The Security dialog box opens with the Access Policy tab displayed.
  3. Click the CLI tab.
  4. The CLI tab opens.

Table 10 describes the CLI tab items.
