Statistics on RIP protocol are kept by the Passport 1000 Series routing switch.
The RIP Status tab provides read-only information about the RIP status of the RIP-enabled routers.
To open the dialog box:

From the main menu, choose IP Routing > RIP > Status. |
| The RIP dialog box opens, and the Status tab is displayed. |
Address
The IP address of the router interface.
RcvBadPackets
The number of RIP response packets received by the RIP process that were subsequently discarded for any reason (Examples: a version 0 packet or an unknown command type).
RcvBadRoutes
The number of routes, in valid RIP packets, that were ignored for any reason (Examples: unknown address family or invalid metric).
SentUpdates
The number of triggered RIP updates actually sent on this interface. This field explicitly does not include full updates sent containing new information.
