Use the Link Flap tab to enable/disable the Link Flap Detect feature. When this feature is enabled, it monitors the number of times a port goes down during a certain interval. If the number exceeds a given boundary, the port is forced out of service.
To access the Link Flap tab:

From the Device Manager menu bar, choose Edit > Diagnostics > Link Flap. |
The Link Flap tab opens.
AutoPortDownEnable
Enables or disables the Link Flap Detect feature.
SendTrap
Specifies whether or not a trap should be sent if the port is forced out of service.
Frequency
Specifies the number of times the port can go down.
Interval
Specifies the interval (in minutes).
