Syslog tab

Use the Syslog tab to enable the syslog globally. You can send messages to as many as 10 syslog hosts. By default, five hosts are supported.

To enable syslog globally:

1. From the Device Manager menu bar, choose Edit > Diagnostics > Syslog.

The Syslog tab opens.

2. Set Enable to true.
3. Set the maximum number of hosts (1 to 10).



Item	Description
Enable	Used to enable/disable the Syslog feature. When enabled, this feature sends a message to a server on a network that is configured to receive and store diagnostic messages from this device. The type of messages sent is user configurable.
MaxHosts	The maximum number of remote hosts considered active and able to receive messages from the Syslog service.
OperState	The operational state of the Syslog service.
