Configure forwarding policies

To configure forwarding policies:

  1. Choose IP Routing > IP > DHCP.
  2. The IP dialog box opens, and the DHCP tab is displayed.
  3. Click Insert.
  4. The Insert Globals dialog box opens.
  5. In the AgentAddr field, type in the agent address.
  6. This parameter specifies the IP address of the input interface on which the relaying of received BootP/DHCP packets must be enabled.
  7. In the ServerAddr field, type in the server address.
  8. This parameter is either the IP address of the BootP/DHCP server or the address of another local interface of the switch.
If it is the address of the BootP/DHCP server, then the request is unicast to the server's address.
If the address is one of the IP addresses of an interface on the switch, then the BootP/DHCP requests will be broadcast out of that local interface.
  9. Click Enable to turn on BootP/DHCP relay, or click Enable to clear the option.
  10. The default is enabled.
  11. In the Mode field, select the type of messages to be relayed.
  12. The default is to relay both BootP and DHCP messages.
