Traffic filters (source and destination filters)
Source filters must specify a source IP address and mask. Destination filters must specify a destination IP address and mask. The minimum mask length is 8 bits. A source or destination filter can cause the following actions to be applied to a packet that matches the filter record:
- Forward the packet when the filter is applied with a forward action.
- Drop the packet when the filter is applied with a drop action.
- Mirror the packet to the defined mirror port.
- Elevate priority to high.
- Elevate the IEEE VLAN tag priority (0 through 7). If this priority bit field is greater that the priority field currently in the IEEE tag in the packet header, this priority field will be loaded into the packet header.
