Circuit tab

Use the Circuit tab to manage the IPX network interface . The term "Circuit" refers to the IPX network interface. In the OperState, IfIndex, NetNumber boxes, type or select your network interface option. To open the IPX Circuit tab:


Note Note: For port-based VLANs, an IPX circuit is "on" only when a link is up in the VLAN. For protocol-based VLANs, a circuit is "on" only after the VLAN receives a packet of the specified protocol type.

Choose IPX Routing > IPX > Circuit.

After you change a parameter, click Apply to set the new parameter.


Field Description
Index
The index number automatically assigned when the interface was created.
OperState
Select down or up; sleeping indicates that is it set for up, but there are no connections to the interface. The normal state is up.
IfIndex
VLAN interface index. Not used in IPX.
UncompressedSent
The number of packets sent without being compressed even though compression is turned on for this circuit.
NetNumber
The IPX circuit network number in an octet string: xx.xx.xx.xx.
Encap
The encapsulation method used: 0=none, 1=EthernetII, 2=LLC, 3=RAW, 4=SNAP. This field is read only.
