Area Aggregate

To insert OSPF area ranges:

1. Choose IP Routing > OSPF > Area Aggregate.
2. Click Insert.

The Insert Area Aggregate dialog box opens.

3. In the AreaID field, type the Area ID.
4. In the LsdbType field, select the type of Link State Database.
• summaryLink--to generate an aggregated summary.
• nssaExternalLink--to generate an NSSA link summary.
5. In the Net field, type the network address.
6. In the Mask field, type the subnet mask.
7. In the Effect check box, select the effect you want:
• advertiseMatching--to advertise the aggregate summary LSA with the same LSID
• doNotAdvertiseMatching--to suppress all networks that fall within the entire range
• advertiseDoNotAggregate--to advertise individual networks
8. Click Insert.
