IP interface configuration

Use the IP Address dialog box to configure a virtual routing port or a physical routing port. By default, IP forwarding is enabled.

To configure IP for brouter or virtual router interfaces:

  1. Enable IP forwarding globally
  2. Configure IP for the interface
  3. Configure ARP for the interface
  4. Enable Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) relaying
  5. Enabling Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP)
  6. Enabling IP Multicasting (IGMP and DVRMP)
  7. Configure routing progocols (RIP) for the interface
  8. Configure routing protocols (OSPF) for the inface

Other protocols and features (such as IPX or IP filtering) can also be configured for the switch.
