Mobile WiMAX in the city of Gaudi
Demonstrating true broadband on the go, Intel WiMAX-enabled Segways roam the streets of Barcelona this week. During the Mobile World Congress, the first mobile WIMAX demonstration network in the city of Gaudi allows the drivers to enjoy Internet enhanced navigation, make VoIP calls and stream live video images captured by a webcam to visitors at Intels booth at the Congress. Intels integrated Wi-Fi/WiMAX module (codenamed Echo Peak) will debut in certain next-generation Intel Centrino processor-based laptops (codenamed Montevina) beginning in the middle of this year.
