HOW TO INSTALL: 

1.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to 
that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP2384.EXE.

2.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP2384 [ENTER]

The following files should be created:
100196BX.BIN
IOS0913.EXE
INSTALL.BAT
SP2384.DOC
README.TXT

3.  After the files are created, you may delete the downloaded file SP2384.EXE if you wish.

4. Then create the Cisco IOS files and sub-directories required by running this
    command at the DOS prompt:

     INSTALL.BAT (and press ENTER)

5. At this point, the Cisco IOS and ROM images have been created and are
    ready to use for upgrading your Netelligent 8500.
 
6. Please read the SP2384.DOC file before installing this Cisco IOS and ROM upgrade.

7. Upgrade the ROM - Refer to the Netelligent Management Software User's Guide.

8. Upgrade the Cisco IOS - Refer to the Netelligent Management Software User's Guide. 

9. Reboot the router to use the newly installed Cisco IOS and ROM.

The only way to tell the version of the Cisco IOS used by your router is to look at the version
 number displayed on banner screen.  Your banner screen should now display 'Cisco Router.
